The strap is one inch wide and reinforced making it strong as well as comfortable enough to wear all day, even when fully loaded. The strap is easy to adjust, I wear the purse as a shoulder bag so I keep the strap short, but lengthening it to cross body length is easy to do.I bought my first Sak bag five years ago and have used it daily. It has worn well and is still in very good shape and I expect this purse to be just as durable.
