  I know zero about jewelry-making but the first thing I noticed was the dull-gray tone of the silver, compared with my other silver pieces, AND the photos. The second thing was the black spot on one earring. Upon closer inspection it wasn't a spot, but a hole. In checking the other earring, sure enough, I saw the same thing. I'm guessing the holes serve a purpose during the jewelry-making process, I just wish anyone talking to me couldn't see the punctures. More than anything, though, it is the dull "sparkle" that's the letdown. Points for design and the light weight but these have none of the brightness shown in the photos. Polishing removed nothing so they did not arrive tarnished.
